Data controller

What data we process

• The email you buy with and the transaction data Mercado Pago reports to us: payment ID, amount, currency, status and date.
• Your license key and the date until which you are entitled to updates.
• A technical identifier for each computer where you activate Miteca and an activation token, which we store only as a cryptographic hash.

We never receive your card or other payment details: Mercado Pago processes them. We also never receive your Hotmart username, password or content: all of that stays on your computer.

What we use it for

• Issuing and sending your license.
• Validating activations, releasing computers and offering updates.
• Handling your support requests.
• Preventing fraud and managing refunds and chargebacks.
• Meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

Only with providers that help us run the service and act as processors: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Mercado Pago (payments) and Resend (sending the license email). Some of these services store data outside Colombia; by buying, you authorize that transfer. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

For as long as your license exists and for the periods required by law for accounting and tax records.

Your rights

As the data subject you can:

• know, update and correct your data;
• request proof of the authorization you gave us;
• find out how we have used your data;
• revoke your authorization or ask us to delete your data, when there is no legal duty to keep it;
• access your data free of charge;
• file complaints with Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.

To exercise them, write to ayuda@miteca.lat from the email you bought with. We answer inquiries within 10 business days and claims within 15 business days, as set by Law 1581 of 2012.

Authorization

By making a purchase, you authorize the processing of your data for the purposes described in this policy.

Security

We apply reasonable technical measures: encrypted connections, cryptographic signatures on licenses and restricted database access.

Cookies

The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies. It only stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Changes

We will publish any change to this policy here, with its update date.
